How Custom 3D Print Commissions Work at XA Industries

Step 1: Tell us what you're picturing

Every custom commission starts as a conversation, not a catalog order. Send a description, a sketch, reference photos, or even a 3D file if you have one — along with your ideal size, colors, and any deadline you're working around.

Step 2: We give you a straight answer

We'll tell you honestly whether the design is something we can print well as an articulated, print-in-place piece, roughly what it will cost, and how long it will take. Not every idea translates cleanly to a single-piece articulated print, and we'd rather tell you that up front than after you've paid.

Step 3: A $50 deposit holds your spot

If you'd like to move forward, a $50 deposit gets the printer warmed up and holds your place in the queue. That deposit isn't a separate fee — it applies directly to your final total once the piece is done. If it turns out we can't fulfill the request as discussed, the deposit is fully refundable.

Step 4: Approval before production

Before we print your final piece, you'll see and approve the full project total — no surprise charges once printing starts.

What makes a good commission?

Anything with flexible, interlocking joints in a similar spirit to our dragons, keychains, and fidgets tends to translate well. If you can picture it moving in your hands, there's a good chance we can print it. Reach out any time at support@xaindustries.com to start the conversation.
